League of Friends support physiotherapy services in Teignmouth

People who need physiotherapy care are using high-quality equipment thanks to a generous donation from the League of Friends of Teignmouth Hospital.
The new Pulse Fitness machine, which cost £3,298 will support rehabilitation for patients receiving physiotherapy care at Teignmouth Hospital, helping clinicians tailor treatment and enhance patients’ recovery and experience.
We’re really grateful to the League for its continued support and the important role it plays in supporting patients and staff through donations that add value to the care people receive.
A splash of colour for Teignmouth Hospital
Earlier this month, volunteers came together to refresh the window boxes at Teignmouth Hospital, helping to brighten the space for patients, visitors and staff alike.
Members of the League of Friends of Teignmouth Hospital were joined by Broadmeadow Allotments, local councillor David Cox and Martin Wrigley MP for a morning of planting and teamwork.

A big thank you goes to Val, Annie, Pippa and Sarah from Broadmeadow Allotments, Councillor David Cox and Martin Wrigley MP for rolling up their sleeves to help, Karol from Teignmouth Hospital for providing refreshments and Jacks Patch for generously supplying the plants free of charge.
Our photo shows Martin Wrigley MP getting his hands dirty under the watchful eye of Dave Rogers, Chair of the League of Friends of Teignmouth Hospital.
Scrummy Easter eggs for children in hospital
Children who were staying in hospital during Easter received a sweet treat, thanks to the generosity of our staff and local businesses.
Thanks to generous donations by Robert from our hospital pharmacy transport team, Warburton’s, and Walter C Parson Funeral Directors, which are both based in Newton Abbot, every child who was on our Louisa Cary ward was given a chocolate egg.

Thank you to everyone who has donated Easter eggs for our youngest hospital patients.
