Celebrating success at community and primary care awards
Congratulations to colleagues from our community health and social care team whose commitment to providing safe compassionate care was recognised at this month’s South West Community and Primary Care Awards.

Anna Dunscombe won the prestigious Above and Beyond Community Nurse Award, recognising her exceptional dedication and commitment to patient care. This award celebrates those who consistently go the extra mile to make a real difference in their communities, which Anna truly embodies.

Hannah Burston was highly commended in the Patient-Centred Innovation by a Primary Care or Community Nurse category. This commendation highlights Hannah’s creativity and focus on improving patient experience through innovative approaches.
Their success is a fantastic reflection of the passion and innovation that define our community teams and the difference they make every day.
Gold certificates for our Infection Prevention and Control and Tissue Viability teams
We want to thank our colleagues who have received their flu vaccination this year to make sure our vulnerable patients and their colleagues are protected and safe this winter.

As well as booking in their appointment, our roving vaccinators have made it easier for people to get protected by visiting them where they work to offer their flu jab.

Thanks to our Infection Prevention Control and Tissue Viability teams which received a gold certificate from our Deputy Chief Nurse earlier this month for making sure they were vaccinated.
