Welcome, from Joe
We’ve reached the end of another year, and what a year it’s been. This time last year I was being interviewed for the role as Chief Executive and I want to thank everyone I have met for making me feel so welcome. Every day I meet colleagues and teams from across our organisation to learn more about what they do, the challenges they face and the incredible work they do to make sure we are delivering the safe, high-quality care you expect from us. I’m so incredibly proud of my colleagues, and with just a few days to go until Christmas, many will be preparing to spend time away from their families to ensure our services are running during the holiday.
I know this can be a difficult time of year for many people who are either juggling caring responsibilities, missing loved ones or may also be working. Please do try and find some time for yourself and look after your health and wellbeing. There is lots of support available if you need it.
Please be kind to yourself and have a very healthy and peaceful Christmas. Thank you for continuing to support your local NHS.
