Funding support for local groups
Local groups can apply to Torbay Council for grants to support their heritage project.

Groups can apply for grants of up to £5,000 to support the delivery of activities, and up to £7,000 for capital investments, such as signage and physical improvements to spaces.
The scheme is made possible after Torbay Council secured just under £250,000 from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. This round of Local Heritage Grants invites groups to think creatively about how to engage with residents and celebrate Torbay’s connections with iconic writers, artists, and musicians. This can be done through conservation, commemoration, trails, plaques, and other creative responses, and examples of potential projects include heritage walking trails, digital enhancement at existing heritage sites and commemorative installations or events.
To find out more, visit the local heritage grant scheme webpage. The closing date for the first round of grant applications is Thursday 30 April at 5pm.
