Resident doctors’ industrial action
From 7am on Friday 25 July to 7am on Wednesday 30 July, resident doctor members of the British Medical Association (BMA) will hold industrial action as part of its dispute with the government about pay and conditions. This is not a dispute between our people and our trust, and we want to thank you for continuing to support your NHS.
We are working hard to minimise disruption to our services, and we have measures in place to ensure the safety and welfare of our patients and our staff. Please attend your appointments unless we have contacted you to cancel or re-arrange. Please support your NHS by only calling 999 or visiting our emergency department if you need care for a life-threatening or critical condition. Please call your GP first if you have a routine health enquiry, or 111 if it cannot wait until your GP surgery reopens.
You can get advice and treatment for a range of minor ailments from a community pharmacist, and get broken bones, animal bites and insect stings, and other minor injuries treated at our minor injury units in Dawlish and Totnes, or urgent treatment centre in Newton Abbot.
Thank you again for your support.
